Much of the PowerPoint design I've done has been in the realm of taking the presenter's rough draft/idea and cleaning it up, while still maintaining their vision. These examples are all within the healthcare field. There is often a lot of data and presenters have a very specific idea of how they want to present to their audience. So it's very much a balancing act.
